If you are doing any type of marketing on the Internet, there are a few recommended resources and tools that are an absolute necessity to build your online business. I personally use each of these resources otherwise I wouldn’t be recommending it!
Website Address/Domain Name
The first step to get your business online is to get a website address or a domain name for branding purposes. If you have no clue on how you want to brand yourself online, I gotchyou – here’s a video I did on how to choose a domain name you can watch.
When you’re ready to purchase your domain name, I recommend using IONOS. I’ve transferred all of my domain names here from GoDaddy because of the following:
- $1 for the first year (for your first domain)
- You get free private registration (protects your personal info from spammers)
- Get a basic professional email address for only $1 a month
- User friendsly and easy to use interface
- Overall, it’s cheaper and saves you money over time
Website Builder
The second step is to put a website up on your newly purchased branded website address and domain name! To do this, you’ll need to sign up for some sort of website and funnel buidling software.
There’s A LOT of different options out there, which I’ve used many of them over the years, but I ONLY use the HBA Funnel Builder now because:

Capture & Follow Up With Leads
The third step is having the ability to capture and follow up with leads from people who visit your website, funnels and marketing pages!
This is super important because not everyone signs up for your product or service the first time they see it so you’ll need away to snag their email address so you can follow up with them via email to try and get them to come back and look at it again – this time, hopefully to buy!
I’ve used a lot of different email marketing platforms over the years and the one I’ve planted my flag with is AWeber because:
- Simple and easy to use interface
- Create and send out email broadcasts and autoresponder
- Create automation workflows
- You can get started for only $20 a month after a 14-free trial when billed annually
Link Tracking Software
Another tool you’ll want to consider is one that gives you the ability to track where your leads and sales come from. This is why I’ve used ClickMagick for years. I have a rule when it comes to promoting my business links out there:
“Never promote a link that can’t be tracked.”
In fact, every link on this page and website is most likely being tracked through ClickMagick so I can know what is and isn’t working in my business.
ClickMagick is an advanced link tracking service. It’s very popular among marketers that can be used in a way to track literally every aspect of your business. However, starting at $79 a month isn’t the most affordable when just getting started – so this is something you may want to come back and get later.
