For example, a couple of good domain name examples for a personal website or personal blog would be after your own name – like this blog your on right now! My name is Evan and my domain name is howtowithevan.com. Or it could contain your first and last name.
However, let’s say you are planning on setting up a niche-based blog that’s about being healthy. Having a domain name like nutritionalhealthhub.com would be appropriate for that type of domain name.
Tips & Guidelines on How to Choose A Domain Name
Regardless of the type of domain name you decide to go with, there are some universal guidelines to consider when you are asking yourself on how to choose a domain name.
- Keep it short and sweet
- Not more than 3 words
- Have it easy to spell and remember
- DO NOT use any numbers
- DO NOT use any special characters
- DO NOT use any abbreviations
- Use a .com extension wherever possible
